Ministry of Stories, the creative writing and mentoring centre for young people co-founded by Nick Hornby, has appointed global social change consultancy Global Tolerance to provide strategic communications support throughout 2015.
Following a competitive process involving three other agencies, Global Tolerance will help Ministry of Stories redefine and communicate its core purpose, descriptor and values and then implement a communications programme throughout the rest of the year.
Lucy Macnab, co-Founder and Director of Ministry of Stories says: “Global Tolerance impressed with their strategic approach to communications. They challenged the brief – specifying media relations support – and instead offered a package that would help develop our broader strategy, upskill our staff and deliver integrated communications across 2015. We were impressed with their commitment to adding real value and generating impact, rather than column inches, for the charity.”
Global Tolerance has worked with some of the most innovative, values-led organisations in the world and this contract continues that legacy. Rosie Warin, co-Managing Director of Global Tolerance, says of the collaboration: “Like many of the best stories, this collaboration began with a strike of serendipity – we’d been saying how much we’d love to work with MoS days before we got the call. Like GT, they are innovative, fun and values-driven – and their business model centres around doing well while doing good. The perfect partner for delivering positive change.”
